LAHORE, Oct 13: The massive supply of different medicines to quake-hit areas has caused a temporary shortage in the local market. When contacted, different medical stores’ salesmen said that people were mostly purchasing Pyodine solution (used on injuries), gypsona plaster, cotton bandages, cotton, skin ointments and pain-killers, including dicloran tablets and injections.
They said the medical stores were also getting bulk supply from pharmaceutical companies to meet the demand. “But most of the time, there is a shortage of these medicines and other items at the medical stores,” a salesman said.
