KARACHI: Nine horses will vie for honours in the Summer Cup when it takes place in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Thursday.

The Summer Cup is the third race in a four-event card that has been drawn for the races. It has been classified under scale order VIII and will be run over four furlongs.

The weekly races have been brought forward to avoid clash with the Pakistan Derby that is scheduled to take place at Lahore on Sunday.

The fourth and the last race is the feature event — scale order III, IV and V — and takes place over four-and-a-half furlongs.

The first race starts at 3;00p.m.

Sehar Princess 9-0, Khoobsurat 8-12, Soldier Star 8-8, Soldier Girl 8-6.

Win: Sehar Princess.

Place: Soldier Star.

Kamyaab 9-0, Hello My Darling 8-13, Hawwaam 8-13, Black Smoke 8-13, Faster 8-12.

Win: Hello My Darling.

Place: Hawwaam.

THE SUMMER CUP SCALE ORDER VIII — 4 F:

Alpha 9-0, Deewana 9-0, Paris 9-0, Two Time Better 8-11, Jhoom Sayeen 8-9, Usman Chandiwala 8-8, Holly Dolly 8-7, Non Stop 8-5, Beneficial 8-0.

Win: Jhoom Sayeen.

Place: Two Time Better and Holly Dolly.

THE SUMMER PLATE SCALE ORDER III, IV & V — 4½ F:

Risky 9-5, Starka 8-9, Flying Lady (Late Soldier Queen) 8-2, Smasher 7-8, Faster Than You 7-4, Well Wisher 7-2.

Win: Risky.

Place: Starka.
