The best option

AMID what ever happened on the day of the recent bv-elections, it is clearly time for the political parties to rethink their strategies and try to cool down the political temperature.

If things continue to move the way they are, the nation is clearly being pushed towards anarchy. Firebrand speeches by politicians may be a source of joy for their supporters and TV channels hosting talk shows, but they are increasing polarisation and hatred in an already polarised society.

The ruling party may well take the lead in this regard with, say, improved performance. It is time to take a U-turn again to regain the lost ground. After all, when you start losing quick wickets, defence is the best option.
