HARIPUR, Oct 12: A 30-month-old baby girl, Shakeela Afzal, was recovered alive from the debris of her thatched house after four days in Bally Mang Battal, some 85km from here, on Wednesday evening by a group of Haripur-based volunteers who took her to the District Headquarters hospital, Haripur.
She lost her two brothers in Saturday’s earthquake that had totally wiped out her village.
Her mother, Buspari, was also rescued and admitted to the Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad, in a critical condition.
