FAISALABAD: Three siblings suffered burns when some people threw acid on them at Karkhana Bazaar, Dramawali Gali on Wednesday.
Reports said Khadija Tanvir,14, her sister Amna Tanvir, 17, and brother Yousaf, 12, were in the street when someone threw acid on them and fled. The children were shifted to the Allied Hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
Police said investigation into the case had been launched.
CASE: Two dozen policemen including the SHOs of the Tandlianwala city and Kur have been booked on the charges of entering a lawyer’s house at Faisal Town, Tandlianwala and kidnapping him.
Advocate Imran Hassan alleged that he was on way home from the Tandlianwala courts when some policemen chased him. He said four policemen later besieged his house when he was inside his drawing room and others barged into the house and held him up.
He said during resistance the policemen broke the glass of the tables and bundled him into a vehicle. On being informed about the incident, he said some of his fellow lawyers reached the spot and foiled the kidnap bid by the policemen. He also alleged that the policemen had stolen his imported watch worth Rs80,000.
A case under sections 148,149 and 506-B of the PPC has been registered on the direction of an additional district and sessions judge against Tandlianwala City SHO Suffyan Butter, Kur SHO Mian Wajid, constables Raja Usman, Saif Ali, Shahid Lashari, Kashif, Arshad Ali, Khawar and other policemen.
The lawyer said he helped people who were victims of the police atrocities and implicated in false cases.
