KARACHI: Nishter Club edged past Usman Club 47-41 while Bounce Club beat Bahria Club 50-33 in the ongoing Honda Atlas Power Cup basketball tournament here at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir courts on Tuesday.

In the first match, Faizan Patel (17 pts) and Talha Amjad and Abbas (10 pts each) were the leading scorers for Nishter Club. For the losing side, Saad Shamsi (18 pts) and Hamza Khwaja (10 pts) were the main scorers.

In the second match, Bounce Club was led by Mubashir Hussain (18 pts) and Nauman Awan (16 pts) while for losing side Bahria, the main scorers were Aun Malik (12 pts) and Rahbar Ali (10 pts).

Meanwhile, due to the sad demise of international basketball player Abdul Nasir on Wednesday, the KBBA and organisers have decided to postpone the tournament for now and the remaining matches of the event will be held after further announcement.
