Three vocational centres to be set up in Hub for women

QUETTA: The Hub Power Company (Hubco) on Monday announced it would set up three vocational training centres for women living in three villages of the Hub area.

The vocational centres will be set up in Goth Qadir Bakhsh Gadoor, Goth Allana Gadoor and Goth Abbas Gadoor in the Hub area.

The announcement was made at the inauguration ceremony of a school jointly set up by Hubco and TCF. Nepra Chairman Tauseef H. Farooqui inaugurated the school.

Under the MoU signed between Hubco and TCF, the school would be operated by TCF while operational costs of the educational institution would be borne by Hubco. As many as 210 students have already enrolled themselves in the school.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Huma Zafar, CSR Consultant in Nepra, appreciated Hubco’s efforts for promoting education and skill-building in underdeveloped areas of Balochistan. She urged women of the area to take full advantage of the training centres and apply the acquired skills for the betterment of the community.
