Biased drive

Published February 14, 2021

THE recent anti-encroachment drive has become more of a nuisance than relief for the locals of Hingorja city. They are severely and badly affected by the preposterous nature of this partial campaign.

Surprisingly, only a certain community is being targeted in the name of removing encroachments. Its constructions and buildings are either demolished or badly damaged, which is sheer injustice on the part of the local authorities.

However, many constructions owned by other influential figures, which are erected on encroached land, have been left untouched. It raises questions about the credibility and fairness of the campaign.

I draw the attention of the authorities concerned and request them to provide justice to the affected community and to the aggrieved citizens.
