ISLAMABAD: The pair of Alessio Basile of Belgium and Turkey’s Birtan Duran clinched the doubles title in Syed Dilawar & Syed Tajamul Abbas Memorial ITF Pakistan Juniors here at the PTF Complex on Friday.

They won the double title after comfortably defeating duo of Dmitry Dolzhenkov from Russia and Artiom Dorofeev from France in straight games 6-2 6-4. The ladies pair of Dorsa Cheraghi from Iran and Ines Faltinger from Austria outclassed pair of Mariia Masiianskaia from Russia and Margarita Okhendovskaya from Ukraine won the ladies doubles title in style. They won the final with game score 6-3,6-3.

Meanwhile, in boys singles semifinals, Alessio Basile from Belgium in well fighting three games crushed France’s Artiom Dorofeev with game score 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 to move into final. He will face Turkish Birtan Duran in the final, who defeated Russian Dmirty Dolzhenkov with game score 3-6, 2-6.

In the girls singles, Austria’s Ines Faltinger set the final date with Maria Pukhina from Russia. Ines Faltinger beat Ellie Blackford (GBR) 3-6, 2-6 and Maria Pukhina (RUS) defeated Arina Arifullina (RUS) 6-1, 6-2.
