Mental health

Published February 9, 2021

A CONSULTANT psychiatrist recently committed suicide after killing his daughter. This is incredibly sad that even mental health professionals are not safe from the scourge of depression. Unhealthy lifestyles, pollution, internet, stress and various technologies have made societies more susceptible to mental health issues.

In collaboration with educational institutions and media, the government should run mental health awareness campaigns to play an active role in preventing mental health problems and providing solutions. Television serials should also comprise cheerful content to help viewers overcome stress and frustration in society.
