RAWALPINDI, Oct 10: PTCL and KRL recorded victories while table-toppers Wapda were held to a goalless draw in the overnight matches of Pakistan Premier League football championship at floodlit Army Stadium.

In the first match on Sunday night, PTCL gained 3-0 victor yover Wohaib Club, Lahore, with goals coming from Nasarullah (62nd and 79th minutes) and Abdul Haq (84th).

Ayaz struck in the 20th minute to put KRL ahead but Farooq Shah slammed home the equaliser for NBP in the 35th minute as the two sides changed ends at 1-1.

However, two goals in as many minutes towards the fag end of the match saw KRL emerge 3-1 winners over fancied bankers — Qadeer making it 2-1 in the 85th minute and Allah Nawaz doubling the margin two minutes later.

In the third clash of the night, Pakistan Navy withstood relentless pressure from Wapda for a much-sought goal as the match ended in a goalless draw.
