RAWALPINDI: Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Sunday said the ruling PTI will win a majority in the upcoming Senate elections and the country will progress under the sincere and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He also asked the party workers to prepare for the local government elections.

He was speaking at a public gathering after inaugurating projects worth Rs60 million for provision of gas and development of Chakra village and Girja union council.

The government wants to make sure each and every person is provided civic facilities so their standard of living could be improved, he said. The minister was accompanied by MPA Wasiq Qayyum. Appreciating the prime minister for his services towards Pakistan, the minister said whatever the PM had earned he bequeathed for his countrymen and Shaukat Khanum Trust.

He said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif began his political career in 1985 and garnered assets worth billions of rupees through corruption, adding: “I also started my political career in the same year but paid attention towards the service of people in my constituency. Despite spending many years in politics, I don’t have a house in Islamabad.”
