HYDERABAD, Oct 10: The Sindh Additional Relief Commissioner Muneer Ahmed Memon directed all district coordination officers of Sindh on Monday to make necessary arrangements to collect and store relief goods in their offices for the earthquake victims.

He announced that a centre had been established in the office of Sindh relief commissioner at the Shahbaz Building, Block-D Hyderabad with telephone number 022-9200569 and Fax No 022-9200573 to guide people, who want to donate goods.

SU: The Sindh University teachers, officers and employees announced here on Monday to donate their basic salary of one day in the president’s earthquake relief fund.

The university registrar said that a cheque of the collected amount would be deposited soon in the fund.

He said the university had also set up four relief camps to collect donations from people.

He said the relief camps were established at the offices of Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences director, Pakistan Study Centre director, Department of Psychology chairperson and Anjuman-e-Bahbood-e-Khawateen, Sindh University colony.

A 10-member team of volunteers comprising students and teachers of the Pakistan Study Centre would leave for Islamabad to voluntarily help the earthquake victims, the registrar said.

LUMHS: The faculty members and officials of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences have expressed grief in a meeting over the loss of precious lives in the earthquake.
