PTI activist and chairperson of the Insaf Lawyers Wing Shahid Naseem Gondal has passed away, his family said. Last month, he had announced on his Facebook account that he had tested positive for the coronavirus.
Family sources told Dawn.com that he was receiving treatment at a private hospital for the last few days.
Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed sadness at Gondal's passing away, saying he was "one of our most loyal workers who stood with us during our struggle against the political mafias".
Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari too expressed grief at Gondal's death who she said had "stood by PTI and all our workers".
