There remain no extant copies of the paper from Jan 27 till Jan 30. The excerpt below is taken from the Jan 26 edition.

MASTER Tara Singh, the Akali leader who arrived in Peshawar on Wednesday [Jan 23], addressed a meeting of local Sikhs and appealed to them to unite not only for their separate entity but for the prestige of the Panth. He said: “The Muslim demand of Pakistan has gained so much force that I am sure, the Congress will come to a settlement with the Muslim League on the basis of Pakistan just after the elections. At that time, Sikhs shall face real trouble and there may be civil war, as Hindus now are bent upon crushing the Sikhs in the garb of the Indian National Congress which is nothing more than Hindu Congress.

“The Congress now has changed its front and instead of fighting British imperialism, is fighting the Muslims and Sikhs. But the Muslims are out of reach and the Congress is concentrating its entire attention on crushing Sikhs. Congressite Sikhs will realise their blunder when it will be too late. …We cannot be free unless we unite.
