TOBA TEK SINGH: City police arrested on Monday the car rider who had killed two motorcycle riders and injured another on the Toba-Jhang road while driving under the influence on Sunday night.

After leaving M-4 interchange, the suspect first hit a motorcyclist, Muhammad Imran, who died on the spot. Later, he hit another motorcycle. As a result, rider Hussain and his mother, Sabiran Bibi, fell down. Sabiran somehow got entangled in the window of the car but instead of stopping the vehicle, the suspect drove away his car and kept driving for three kilometres.

He reached the Municipal Committee Complex where some citizens put barriers like wood and drums on the road and forcibly stopped his car. Sabiran had already expired till then.

The City police have registered a case. The suspect could not be identified.
