LARKANA: Two children died and two women and a child suffered injuries when a cow hit a rickshaw near Metla village on Larkana-Naudero road, eight kilometres from here on Sunday.

The rickshaw was overtaking a donkey-cart when the cow tied to the back of the cart hit the tri-wheeler, resulting in instant death of Ayoub Mirani, 10, and Hira Batool, 8, residents of Pir-jo-Goth near Naudero.

The bodies were shifted to a Naudero hospital and were handed back to relatives after completion of legal requirements.

The injured identified as Irshad Khatoon, Haseena Khokhar and baby Amza were admitted to casualty ward at the Chandka Medical College Teaching Hospital.

Naudero police detained the donkey-cart driver Hamadullah Mangi and interrogated him about how the accident took place.
