LAHORE: The Punjab University on Saturday notified composition of 20 faculties aiming to transform the university as per modern requirements of the academic world.
Earlier, the university’s Academic Council had suggested the Syndicate restructuring of the faculties and establishing six new faculties for recommendation to the Senate, which it approved.
According to a notification, as per a decision of the Senate, the university in its meeting held on Nov 26, 2020 had approved establishment and composition of 20 faculties.
On Saturday, Registrar Dr Khalid Khan notified the composition of faculties, including Arts and Humanities, Behavioural and Social Sciences, Information and Media Studies, Commerce, Business, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Electrical, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Quality and Industrial Systems Engineering, Chemical and Materials Engineering, Education, Health Sciences, Islamic Studies, Law, Life Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Oriental Learning, Pharmacy, Sciences, Geo-Sciences, Computing and Information Technology and Independent Centre.
