KARACHI: Kidnapper sent to jail

KARACHI, Oct 8: Administrative judge of anti-terrorism courts in Karachi on Saturday sent a man, facing kidnapping for ransom charges, to jail, directing the investigation officer to submit charge-sheet on Oct 15.

Altaf Hussain was arrested by Gulshan-i-Iqbal police on Sept 30 on charges of kidnapping Fahad Hamdani, son of a banker for ransom. The accused was produced before AJ Justice Khliji Arif Hussain of the Sindh High Court.

The AJ, sending him to jail, directed the investigation officer to submit charge-sheet against him on the next date of hearing.—PPI
