SHEIKHUPURA: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has registered a case against three revenue officialsfor tampering with records to transfer state land to twolandlords of village Sahoki Mallian.

Deputy Commissioner Asghar Joiya constituted an inquiry which revealed that the naib tehsildar, gardawar and patwari of Sahoki Mallian forged the record and transferred 1,025 state kanals to Jamil Hussain and Aqeel Hussain.

Mr Joiya directed the ACE to register a case against naib tehsildar Ferozedin, gardawar Ashiq and patwari Nausher Ali and his munshi.

ACCIDENT: Two passengers died while three others sustained injuries in a road accident on Sharaqpur Road here on Wednesday.

The Sharaqpur-Sheikhupura wagon skidded off the road and fell into a saim nullah while crossing the bridge.

The deceased were identified as Zaheer Abbas (38) and Hamid (58), of Lahore and Sialkot.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.

The Sharaqpur police have started an investigation.
