LARKANA: A two-year-old girl fell into a sewage-filled manhole in the Cattle Colony locality here on Thursday and was taken out by a passerby. However, she died during treatment at the Chandka Medical College Hospital.

A man brought Madiha, who was unconscious, to the hospital stating that he, while walking through the locality, heard her screams coming from the manhole. He said he took her out and rushed her to the hospital, where she was immediately shifted to the emergency unit and provided treatment.

Doctors at the hospital said the girl was in critical condition and could not survive.

Her father, Munir Ganicho, later told the hospital administration that she was playing near his house in the locality and might have accidentally fallen into the manhole.
