AKG Blues triumph

KARACHI, Oct 6: Hosts Aga Khan Gymkhana (AKG) Blues annihilated Shekhani Sports by a margin of nine wickets in the opening match of the AKG Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at AKG Ground on Thursday.

Batting first, Shekhani Sports were bundled out for 95 in 18.1 overs with only Shahid Yousuf (19) and Fahad Jabbar (14) reaching double figures.

AKG Blues romped home in the 15th over after former Karachi batsman Suleman Huda (42 off 47 balls, six fours) and Salim A. Rahim (39 not out off 37 balls, four fours) launched the chase with an opening partnership of 83.
