SUKKUR, Oct 5: Sindh PPP deputy secretary general and MNA Manzoor Wassan has warned that any step against the ADP nazims and councillors would not be tolerated during the third and final phase of the local body elections.

He was addressing a press conference at the local press club on Wednesday.

He alleged that the government had started rigging at every level with the announcement of the date of the final round of the polls.

Mr Wassan claimed that the ADP could easily capture Khairpur, Thari Mirwah, and Gambat districts and talukas.

He said that his party had nominated Munawwar Wassan as the taluka nazim of Kotdiji, which had 11 union councils and 143 votes of nazims and councillors.

He alleged that a false case had been registered by the PML against five persons including Munawwar Wassan in Kotdiji, as they were scared of him. Another case of kidnapping was registered against Munawwar Wassan 25 days ago, he said.

He claimed that Munawwar Wassan could easily capture 120 votes out of 143 in Kotdiji.

He termed the Kotdiji taluka as a strong fort of the PPP and said the party had never lost there.

Mr Wassan expressed apprehension that their voters will be arrested and shifted to secret locations on Wednesday night or on Thursday morning.

He asked the government to register as many cases against them but allow the voters to exercise their right to franchise.
