QUETTA, Oct 4: At least six people including a woman and three Pakistanis were killed and 14 others wounded in a powerful bomb blast in Spin Buldak, the border district of Afghanistan close to Pakistan border, on Tuesday.

“Victims of the powerful blast include two Afghan army personnel,” Akhtar Mohammad a border commander of Spin Buldak confirmed to newsmen in Chaman and blamed Taliban for the blast.

The Pakistanis killed in the blast belonged to Chaman and Swat, sources said and added that one Pakistani who was identified as Babo was an oil tanker driver and crossed into Afghan area few minutes before the blast and he was showing travelling documents when bomb went off.

According to reports the powerful explosion took place inside Afghan area close to Pakistan border at an Afghan custom check post around 1pm, resulting in the killing of six people on the spot.

“It was a very powerful device, which went off when Afghan custom officials were busy in their daily routine work,” sources said.
