Mehran Express resumes service

KARACHI: Pakistan Railways on Sunday resumed service of Mehran Express that was to ply between Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Karachi.

MNA Sabir Qaimkhani saw off passengers of the much-awaited train service from City railway station.

The Mehran Express will have four and a half hour journey period for a distance of approximately 250 kilometres between Karachi and Mirpurkhas, and vice versa, besides having eight en route stoppages at Cantonment station, Drigh Road, Landhi, Jung Shahi, Kotri, Hyderabad, Tando Jam and Tando Allahyar.

The train comprised nine economy class coaches and a brake van having a cumulative passenger capacity of 734 people. It departs at 3:55 pm from Karachi City station and leaves Mirpurkhas at 5:00am in the morning.
