KARACHI: BSc results declared

KARACHI, Oct 4: The University of Karachi on Tuesday announced the result of First Year BSc (Home Economics) Annual Examinations 2005. According to statistics, some 551 candidates registered themselves for the exams, 537 appeared and 270 were declared successful. The pass percentage remained 50.28. The results of three candidates were withheld for incomplete enrolment.

Meanwhile, all members of the KU teaching and administrative staff, students and others were requested on Tuesday by KU Registrar Dr Sikandar Mehdi to observe the sanctity of Ramazan on varsity premises.

In a notification, he said there shall be no breach of fasting throughout the holy month in the buildings or elsewhere on campus while all canteens shall remain closed till sunset. He directed that no food should be supplied to anyone from the hostel canteens and mess during the hours of fast except in case of illness upon the certificate of senior medical officer.—PPI
