ISLAMABAD: The capital police arrested 10 outlaws and recovered a huge quantity of liquor, a stolen motorbike and weapons from them, a police spokesman on Sunday said.

He said renewed efforts were underway to curb bootlegging and drug peddling activities in the city following directions of IGP Aamir Zulfiqar Khan.

The Karachi Company police during checking of a vehicle recovered more than 400 bottles of liquor. However, the suspect managed to flee after abandoning the vehicle. A case has been registered against the suspect and further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, Aabpara police arrested a man after recovering a 30-bore pistol from him. Margalla police held two men identified as Khalid and Sohaib after recovering two 30-bore pistols from their possession. The Homicide Unit of the police arrested an accused in a murder case.

A man was rounded up by Ramna police after 10 litres of wine was recovered from him while the Nilore police recovered a 30-bore pistol from a man and arrested him. Koral police arrested two alleged bike lifters and recovered stolen motorcycles from their possession while Sihala police arrested a person and recovered 8mm gun from him.

Meanwhile, the police reunited two teenagers with their families.

Shahzad Ali and Abdul Saboor lost their way while hiking on Trail-3. They managed to call Rescue 15 police. After the call, a special team started a search operation and managed to trace the boys.
