KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Amjad Khan Niazi, who is on an official visit to Turkey, on Saturday called on Commander of Turkish Fleet Admiral Ercument Tatlioglu at Fleet Headquarters, Golcuk, and visited naval shipyards.

According to information received here, upon his arrival at Turkish Fleet Headquarters, Golcuk Naval Base, the naval chief was received by Commander Tatlioglu.

Admiral Niazi was given a comprehensive briefing on the Turkish Fleet Command. He also called on Golcuk Naval Shipyard Commander Rear Admiral (LH) Mustafa Saygili and Istanbul Naval Shipyard Commander Rear Admiral (LH) Erdinc Yetkin, separately, and visited both the shipyards where he was briefed on under-construction Pakistan Navy’s Milgem projects.

Later, the naval chief called on CEO of ASFAT Esad AKGUN and was app­rised about developing capabilities and capacities of military factories and shipyards.
