LAYYAH: A resident of Choubara has alleged that her two daughters, a daughter-in-law and she herself were held captive for nine months and raped by nine people.

Karor police registered a case against the culprits.

Desert Tehsil Choubara’s Union Council Nawan Kot resident alleged that nine people raped them to avenge an elopement. She said a girl of the suspects’ family elopedwith her son.

One influential person of the area said he would amicably settle the matters between the two families and brought the alleged survivors to Basti Sabani and kept them in detention for nine months. She alleged the main suspect got her thumb impression on a white paper.

The Karor police recovered her family from Basti Sabani and registered a case. The SHO said he would soon apprehend the culprits.

The main suspect refuted the allegations and said the accuser sold her four acres to pay compensation money to the parents of the elopedgirl.
