KOHAT, Oct 2: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) candidate for the slot of Kohat tehsil nazim is now in a better position after getting support from two MPAs of the Awami National Party.

MPA Syed Qalb-i-Hassan and the father of MPA Shaukat Habib on his behalf announced their support for the candidate, Pir Munim Shah, at a meeting held here on Sunday and attended by some union council nazims and dozens of councillors.

On the other hand, Mr Shah’s rival candidates – the Jamaat-i-Islami’s Haji Sardar and Pakistan People’s Party’s Dilbar Khan — have claimed to have more than 200 councillors and UC nazims each on their side.
