No change in candidate

Published October 3, 2005

LAHORE, Oct 2: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi clarified on Sunday that the PML-supported candidate to the seat of Chakwal district nazim was still Sardar Ghulam Abbas and no change had been made.

In a statement issued here, he said Sardar Abbas had ably served the district with regard to its development and progress during his first stint as the district nazim and this had been recognized at all levels.

He hoped that the candidate would win the election with a thumping majority and serve the people more actively. — Staff Reporter
