Three killed over Karo-Kari

LARKANA, Jan 20: Three people were killed on the pretext of Karo-Kari in two separate incidents.

A man, Wali Mohammed, a resident of the Muflahi Magsi village, near Shahdadkot, shot dead his daughter, Amiran, and a man, Umar Muflahi, over Karo-kari on late Saturday night. Mr Wali escaped immediately.

The Panjak police have registered an FIR.

In another incident in Safiabad village, a man, Abdul Majeed Mirjat, killed his wife, a mother of four children. He then escaped.

The man had alleged that his wife was having an affair with one Taj M. Mirjat.

The Yusufabad police registered an FIR.

DEFAULTERS: Police arrested three bank loan defaulters and sent them to the central prison, Larkana, on Saturday.

The judge of the Banking Court-II, Tufail Ahmed Memon, had issued non-bailable warrants to Mohammed Ali Unnar, Din Mohammed Napar and Sultan Ahmed Napar who had taken loans of Rs3,234,778 from the Habib Bank, Sultankot branch.

The case was lodged with New Fujdari police station of Shikarpur district.
