Man drowns in lake

KARACHI, Oct 2: A picnicker drowned in Keenjhar Lake on Sunday. Edhi sources said that Khalid, 40, resident of Orangi Town, had gone for a picnic to Keenjhar Lake in Thatta district. He drowned in the lake while taking bath. His body was fished out and sent to his relatives in the metropolis for burial.

ACCIDENT: A young man died in a road accident in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Sunday.

Police said that an unknown person died in a hit and run accident in the limits of Aziz Bhatti police station.

BODY FOUND: The decomposed body of a young man was recovered in Malir on Sunday.

Police said that the body was recovered from Malir river bed in the limits of Shah Latif police station. The body was at least five days old with suspected torture marks. Police sent the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem examination.
