KARAK: A young man was killed and another injured in separate firing incidents in Takht-i-Nusrati here on Monday.

Police officials said rivals’ fire left a young man identified as Junaid Khan seriously injured. He died while being shifted to the tehsil headquarters hospital.

Bilal Khan, brother of the slain, lodged FIR with the Takht-i-Nusrati police station against Mohammad Islam and Shamsur Rehman. He said the two families had a land dispute. He added they were busy in construction of a building on the disputed land when they were attacked.

In another incident, rivals shot and injured Shahinullah over a land dispute. He was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Karak.

The injured nominated Mumtaz Khan and Shams Zaman in the FIR lodged with the Takht-i-Nusrati police station.
