ISLAMABAD, Sept 30: The under-14 national football championship will be played in Lahore from Dec 25 to Jan 5. All the affiliated units of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will field their teams in the event, it was officially learnt on Friday.

PFF will also organise national Inter-school football championship next year, for which a detailed schedule will be announced later.

Pakistan’s senior football team will figure in two main Asian-level tournaments next year — it will defend its SAF Games title at Colombo (Sri Lanka) in April and will also compete in the Asian Games at Doha (Qatar) in December, 2006.—AFP
