MIRPURKHAS, Sept 29: The Pakistan Muslim League leader Asad Ali Junejo has expressed his gratitude to PML-F chief Pir Sahib Pagara for nominating his sister Dr Kaneez Sughra Junejo as candidate of the district nazim.

He also thanked Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain and Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim for their support.

He was speaking at a reception hosted at the Junejo house in honour of elected representatives of the district.

Elected councillors, nazims, naib nazims including women councillors belonging to the MQM, PML, PML-F, independent candidates and notables were present on the occasion.

Mr Junejo said President General Pervez Musharraf put an end to regime of bureaucracy and feudalism by introducing the devolution plan at the grass roots level.

He said if elected district nazim and taluka nazim or even UC nazim and councillor worked with honesty it would lead to a revolution.

He said the MQM was a strong party and maintained a great discipline among its rank and file because its chief was a man of commitment.
