Rs70m earmarked for township development

SWABI, Sept 29: The Swabi Development Authority (SDA) has earmarked Rs70 million for carrying out development projects in Shahmansoor Township.

Sources said that the projects related to the supply of water and power, installation of drains and sewerage works.

They said that parks would also be constructed as part of the development plan.

Sources said that a resolution had been adopted by the then district council according to which the SDA was no longer under the district government’s control.

The delay in the development work made the people so frustrated that they had begun selling back their apartments.

The sources said the allotment of apartments had been completed and the completion of the development projects would pave the way for the construction of flats.
