KARACHI: Widow seeks justice

Published September 29, 2005

KARACHI, Sept 28: A widow has demanded protection claiming that she and her young daughter were subjected to death threats from certain people.

The widow, Shahnaz Khan, told journalists at the Karachi Press Club on Wednesday that death threats were being extended to them following the death of her husband Shamroz Khan. She said an FIR (No.395/05) under sections 452/506B/34 had been lodged against certain people but no action was been taken against them.

She urged the authorities to provide her and her daughter safety and security and ensure action against the culprits.
