MARDAN, Sept 27: Former federal communications minister and central leader of Awami National Party Azam Khan Hoti has rejected the notion that the power of money will defeat the nominees of the ANP in the forthcoming district elections and recalled that in the past such myths had been proved wrong.

Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said that the ANP has mostly fielded its workers for the district elections, which proves confidence of the party in its workers.

He said that by joining hands with a religious party in the coming elections in various districts, the ANP has successfuly divided the MMA. Besides, the alliance is a the ned of the hour.

About recent changes in the party he said that it was a sensitive and difficult issue particularly for him because of family relations but such change were unavoidable.

He claimed that the strengthening of the party could be judged from the fact that in the recent district elections the ANP gained a leading position in the province, which proved the change had produced positive results. He said that not only in Peshawar valley but even in Malakand division there are chances that the ANP would be able to form government.
