DADU, Sept 27: Students seeking admission in medical colleges staged a demonstration at the DCO Chowk here on Tuesday to protest against the holding of the entry test under new syllabus. The protesters blocked the Indus Highway for two hours.

They were led by Faisal Leghari, Samina Chandio, Yasmin Tagar, Irfan Pirzado, Shahzad Charn and Arif Leghari.

Speaking on the occasion, they said that they had made preparation for test according to old syllabus, but the authorities chose to conduct the test under the new syllabus.

They demanded of the government to take entry test according to old syllabus.

They threatened if authorities did not change the scheme, six students would commit self-immolation.

Federal Minister for Water and Power Liaquat Ali Jatoi arrived at the spot and assured them that he would talk with concerned authorities and test would be conducted according to old syllabus.
