ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has notified exemption of additional customs duty and regulatory duty on 164 raw materials for textile products.

SROs1042 and 1043 were issued on Thursday to implement the federal cabinet decision.

The Tariff Policy Board has already approved the exemption on these raw materials, which were not manufactured locally. In order to achieve this objective, import duties on 1623 tariff lines, pertaining to basic raw material and intermediate goods had been reduced to zero through the Finance Act 2020.
