Islamabad lift blind title

ISLAMABAD, Sep 25: Islamabad defeated Lahore by four wickets to win the 6th Sight Savers cricket tournament for the blind at Naval Complex ground, E-8, on Sunday. Put into bat, Lahore scored 222 before being all out on the las ball of the 30-over innings. Fayyaz Ahmed sparkled with a superb 97, a knock studded with four boundaries.

Mohammad Zeeshan captured three wickets for Islamabad.

Masood Jan (48), Zeeshan Abbasi (40) and Muzaffar Ali (35) made useful contributions as Islamabad achieved victory in the 28th over for the loss of six wickets.—APP
