PESHAWAR, Sept 25: A subcommittee of the Public Accounts Committee for Health on Sunday discussed alleged misappropriation of funds in the purchase of equipment, including X-ray machines, for the district headquarters hospitals in Banda Daud Shah and Kohat and reviewed different documents in this regard.

During a meeting presided over by MPA Anwar Kamal Khan Marwat, officials of a firm were asked to brief the committee on discrepancies in the bills submitted for the machines purchased for both the hospitals.

The committee reserved its recommendations and directed the quarters concerned to clarify the matter.
