SAHIWAL, Sept 25: A woman and her newly-married daughter were hanged to death on suspicion on Sunday in a nearby Nathu Wasli village. Reports said that Manzooran, the wife of farmer Noor Muhammad, and her daughter Pathani would go with their lovers to Sahiwal daily to watch movies/stage plays.

On Saturday night, both the mother and her daughter, accompanied by their respective lovers, went to Sahiwal by car and returned in the early hours of Sunday. Noor Muhammad and his son-in-law Abbas, already waiting them, caught hold of their wives and hanged them.

Noorshah police have registered a murder case against the absconding accused.
