KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Karachi president Khurram Sher Zaman on Friday expressed disappointment in Sindh police over suicide by a gang-rape victim in Tharparkar and said that he would take up the issue in Sindh Assembly.

The MPA said that rising trend of suicide incidents in Thar were deeply unsettling, said a PTI spokesman on Friday.

He alleged that local police were acting as facilitators of rape suspects and Sindh police had turned into slaves of the provincial government.

He asked why Senator and elected representatives of Tharparker had kept mum over the disturbing incident.
