KARACHI, Sept 24: Six-year-old mare, Kinjhar, starts as our day’s best in the Summer Gymkhana race meeting being held at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday. Kinjhar who was piloted home by jockey Fahim K during the Defence Day Cup meeting, is drawn against 17 contenders in the fifth race of afternoon to be run over five furlongs.

Three-year old filly, Jet Zone, who settled for a place last week, is poised to finish runners-up.

A programme of eight races has been chalked out for the day with first race begins at 1.00 pm.

Dushtiyani, a seven-year old mare, who was beaten to second spot by rank outsider half-bred, Raaz, last week should pick up the spoils in the first race that features eleven horses.

She is likely to be chased by six-year old McGrath and chestnut, Golden Copy.

Moon Raker, a two-year old colt, is tipped to dominate the second race to be run for the Youngster Cup on a five furlongs course.

Four-year old colt, Blue Breeze is fancied to make it two-in-a-row after having triumphed by hHead in the previous meeting. Four-year old filly, Countess Mah Again and half-bred Gullu’s Government, should settle for places.

Bang On Target, the five-year bay mare, who had an unimpressive run in the Defence Day Cup should reassert herself by crossing the finishing line ahead of other opponent’s.

She will be up against six opponent’s in the seven furlongs fourth race for the Tesio Stakes Cup.

Chestnut, Welcome Pehchino is tipped to dominate the sixth race while three-year old colt, Tharkyee, and four-year old filly, Queen Of Arab, should run away with the honours in the last two races.
