Islamabad and Lahore in final

ISLAMABAD, Sept 24: Hosts Islamabad and Lahore qualified for the final of the 6th Sight Savers Challenge Cup cricket for the blind at E-8 Naval ground on Saturday. Lahore defeated Bahawalpur and though Karachi disposed of Islamabad, the latter advanced to the final with better place on the points table.

Bahawalpur scored 116 for seven with Saghir (29) being the top scorer while Abdur Razzaq captured three wickets.

Lahore reached the target after losing four wickets — Muhammad Ilyas hit 34. Abdur Razzaq was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.

In the second match, Islamabad made 186 — Shaukat Ali being the top contributor with 30.

In reply, Karachi got to the target in the 22nd over for the loss of four wickets with Tahir notching up a fine knock of 62 not out and claimed the Man-of-the-Match award.—APP
