Probe against Narowal ex-nazim

NAROWAL, Sept 24: The Anti-Corruption Establishment initiated an inquiry against former Narowal tehsil nazim Khawaja Muhammad Waseem here on Saturday. ACE deputy director Tauqeer Hyder Kazmi took all the TMA record into his custody. Gujranwala’s ACE deputy director (technical) Muhammad Azhar was assisting him.

Khawaja Muhammad Waseem is contesting elections against ruling party candidate Fazal Mahmood Virk for the tehsil nazim seat. He has refused to withdraw his nomination papers on the instructions of the party leadership.

HOLIDAY: District Coordination Officer Rao Manzar Hayat on Saturday declared Oct 1 a local holiday in connection with the urs of Pir Syed Jammat Ali Shah Lasani at Alipur Sharif.
