COLOMBO, Sept 24: The Sri Lankan government will make special polling arrangements for the Nov 17 presidential elections in areas controlled by the Tamil Tigers (LTTE). Chief Election Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayake said at a press conference on Friday the commission would set up a cluster of booths for voters in the LTTE-controlled areas. Mr Dissanayake said the government had invited international observers to assist it in ensuring transparency.
