KARACHI: An unidentified man was found shot dead off Superhighway on Tuesday, said police.

They added that the body of the man aged around 30 years was recovered from bushes in Dildar Goth.

He suffered a single bullet wound in his chest. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfil medico-legal formalities. The SITE Superhighway Industrial police SHO, Asghar Ali Kango, said that it appeared that the victim had been kidnapped and killed somewhere and later on his body was thrown there because no spent bullet casing was recovered from the crime scene.

Two electrocuted in different areas

A young woman died when she got an electric shock in Baloch Colony on Tuesday.

Police said that Saira Aziz, 28, died when she got an electric shock at her home in Manzoor Colony.

The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

Separately, a 65-year-old man, Abdul Qadir, died when he received an electric shock during work at Abdullah Village at Old Golimar.

The body was taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi.

Parking of water tankers banned

DIG Traffic Karachi Javed Ali Mahar on Tuesday declared that parking of water bowsers would not be allowed at important traffic points of Hino Chowrangi, Korangi Crossing and other routes as these heavy vehicles contributed to traffic jams on main arteries. During his visit to the said areas, Mr Mahar added that encroachments were also contributory factors behind traffic jams and directed for deployment of suitable traffic police staff at such points to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
